The CHCLA Symposium for the Advancement of Catholic Health Care is a three-year initiative to explore the foundations of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. The Symposium will approach Catholic health care from all angles, tackling the historical, theological, philosophical, scientific, and practical applications of Christ’s teachings and works, to all facets and arenas impacting Catholic health care. From the historical to the present, from bioethics to environment and art in health care facilities, this Symposium will rely upon experts in the fields of medicine, law, philosophy, theology, administration, business, advocacy, policy, architecture, among others, to lay a foundation that looks not just to the past and the present, but to identify principles and guidelines to direct the path of Catholic health care into the future.
